(A US Military graves detail buries the bodies of dead Iraqi soldiers killed along the Mile of Death, on the road between Kuwait City and Basra, north of Kuwait City.)

Vigil To End The War In Iraq - Staten Island, NYC
Wednesday Evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 PM
On the steps of boro hall, opposite the SI Ferry Terminal
[#1 to South Ferry; 4,5 to Bowling Green; R,W to Whitehall]

Bring: Candles, Signs, Enthusiasm for Change

Peace Action Staten Island and friends (including members of the NYC War Resisters League, the Socialist Party and Veterans For Peace) are holding weekly one hour vigils on the steps of Boro Hall, Staten Island.
We are vigiling to protest the war in Iraq and the refusal of the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave to meet with Cindy Sheehan. This week the issue of the government's lethal non-response to Katrina will also be highlighted.
This is a regular vigil, held in a dramatic location - with the SI Ferry and New York City's harbour in the background - and in a boro known for its conservative politicians. Please join us and/our spread the word.
