Sept. 7: Demo against GM @ Farmers' Market

Demo against GM and 311 call in

Sept 7, 2pm and call in at 3pm

Union Square Park Northside
Sept 7, 2pm and call in at 3pm

On Sept 7, GM will be setting up a show on the north side of the park. This is an all day affair and will disrupt the Green Market, and local farmers will lose on this day. Many farmers will be re-located to the southside of the park away from the rest of the market.

Bring Signs "No Oil WAR" "More Farmers, Less Auto-Manufacturers" "Build Community, Not Cars"

Talk to farmers, they will tell you that this is not the first time a corporation has been given priority over the green market.

At 3pm call 311 and tell the operator you want to leave a message for Adrian Benepe, the parks commisioner, telling him that this should never happen again. Farmers at the Green Market should have priority over Corporations.
