On Aug.9, in an unprecedented Federal Appeals decision, the 26 conviction counts against the Cuban 5 anti-terrorists were overturned. It is urgent that public pressure be stepped up to demand their immediate freedom from five U.S. federal prisons. The Cuban 5 - Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labadino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez - have been in prison for seven years. It is seven years too long. A new trial outside Miami has been ordered but justice loving people around the world are calling for their immediate release as they are innocent and were acting peaceably to stop 45 years of U.S.-sponsored terrorism against Cuba.
