Aug. 10: Hey Mr. President, Meet with Cindy

With Donald Rumsfeld and Condoleeza Rice on their way to Crawford, Texas, to meet with President Bush on Thursday, Cindy Sheehan will hold a blog conference call hosted by Joe Trippi of JoeTrippi.com, Bob Fertik of Democrats.com, and Jodie Evans of CodePink4Peace.org. Given the urgency of Cindy's situation, we hope that you will attend the call.
Wednesday, Aug 10
2:00pm EST
Cindy Sheehan is the mother of Casey Sheehan, an American soldier who died in Iraq on April 4th, 2004. She is camping out on Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas, until he agrees to meet with her. Cindy simply wants to ask Bush "Why did my son die?" and "What was the noble cause that he died for?"
We hope you will join us on this call and help raise awareness for Cindy's cause. We also hope that you will sign the petition demanding that Bush meet with Cindy.

Hi, this is Jordan from Joe Trippi & Associates. We noticed that you posted the information about the blog conference call with Cindy Sheehan on your blog. While we appreciate your enthusiasm for spreading the word about Cindy and trying to get more people involved with the story, we would also appreciate it if you did not post the call-in numbers on your blog. Each person that calls in costs money (quite a lot, actually), so we do not want more than the number of bloggers that we expected to get on the call.

We are going to try and get an mp3 of the call so that the people who were not able to attend will be able to hear what happened. And we would love for any of the bloggers to give a full report of the call. But it's just infeasible to invite everyone to attend.

Again, all that we are asking is that you take down the call in numbers on your site, not the time/date or the fact that the call is happening. And we would love it if you blogged about it after the call is over.

Thanks for your support. If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks,

jp
