July 28: "Save Roe" planning meeting

The Fight to Save Abortion: WE WON'T LOSE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE!

Come to a meeting to discuss how to build a movement in this country that wins for women complete control over their bodies and lives.

Thursday, July 28th, 7:00pm
LGBT Community Center, Room 301
208 West 13th Street (at 7th Ave)
(subway: 1/9 [there is no 9], 2/3, or A/C/E to 14th Street)

When Sandra Day O'Connor announced her resignation from the Supreme Court, the Bush Administration began searching for the next right-winger who they hope will dismantle abortion entirely. Abortion has been under attack since it was won in the 1970s. The procedure - that one in three women will have in her lifetime -is not available in 87% of counties in the US. Most states have mandatory waiting periods and parental consent laws that further restrict women's choices.
A new fight to save abortion is long overdue. We need a new fight - not only in the Supreme Court, but in the streets and in every city.
