July 22: Let's show Pataki which way the wind is blowing

According to the NYT:
Pataki Will Test '08 Winds in Iowa [this weekend]
Let's show him which way the wind is blowing

NOW New York State and activists around NY State will gather in New York City to demand that Governor Pataki sign and support the Unintended Pregnancy Prevention Act. (Emergency Contraception)
We need bodies to show our strength!

July 22, (Friday), 12:30 pm
Near Pataki's NYC office, Corner of 3rd Avenue and 40th Street, NYC

Women of NYS need Emergency Contraception. This bill, if signed into law, will greatly reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and abortions by increasing access to emergency contraception for women in NYS. All women, including victims of rape and incest, poor and young women need this drug to be available. This bill authorizes nurses and pharmacists to dispense emergency contraception upon the prescription and order of a non-patient specific regimen by a licensed physician,
certified nurse practitioner , or licensed midwife, thereby facilitating easier access to emergency contraception for all women.
